Stitch Overseas represents several high tech global manufacturers of machine tools accessories in India. One of these is Hitachi Tool Engineering Ltd, Japan for Epoch CS power ball/power mill. The new Epoch CS super coating made of nanocrystalline materials offers improved lubricity. The tool also provides a much longer service life in mild-steel machining. Due to the reduced heating during cutting, the Epoch CS power ball/power mill can also be used for dry cutting. Excellent cutting is reached in machining plastic moulds, especially in carbon steels with over two times in machining efficiency; and long tool life and precision machining in carbon steels, alloy steels, etc. Dry cutting applicable, because of less cutting heat by improving friction property very much. Features and applications: The tool exhibits its power to various materials from mild steel to pre-harden steel (35 HRC class). Especially for carbon steel cutting, this tool shows incomparably longer life than with the tool of conventional type (3 times or more longer than that of a general TiAlN material). R tolerance – ±0.005 mm (under dia.6). Highly accurate finish cutting is possible. With a high rigid tool design and a new coating of less dimensional change, high efficient finishing is possible.
