Nylox Disk Brushes

Nylox disk brushes work like flexible files to deburr cast, machined and extruded parts of aluminium, steel, and iron. Their construction promotes aggressive cutting action, reduced cycle time and extended brush life. Silicon carbide abrasive grit is impregnated throughout the entire heat-stabilized nylon filament, so that the slides of the filaments cuts as well as the tips. Consistent finishing quality is achieved because new, sharp cutting grains are constantly exposed during use. Nylox brushes are said to be a cost-effective alternative to hand filing, non-woven abrasives, and mass media finishing, as well as to explosive deburring, chemical deburring, and cotton wheels used with compounds. Nylox"s confomability eliminates tedious pre-and post-finishing operations, as well as the need to refixture parts in many operations. Ideal deburring applications for Nylox disk brushes include cast aluminium engine blocks and intake manifolds, steel transmission housings, aluminium auto wheels, and fuel housings. Nylox disk brushes are said to reduce cycle times and finishing costs and are custom engineered in sizes from 3-14-" diameter with a standard 7/8" arbor hole (14" diameter has a 5" standard arbor hole), with round or rectangular filaments. In diameter/grit sizes of 0.018/500 through 0.040/ 80. Standard 1-1/2" trim length allows deburring and finishing of parts with maximum surface protrusions.
