New Grades Of Inserts

Sandvik Coromant introduces two grades to the 4000 Series of inserts. GC4035 and GC4015 are the latest additions to this line of basic turning inserts. GC4025 is a general purpose grade for steelworking. Available in 170 insert styles in the T-Max P (negative) and T-Max U (positive) families of general turning inserts, GC4035 is an excellent choice for light to medium roughing of steel and steel castings under unfavourable conditions. The grade also performs well in intermittent cuts and is excellent for forging scale. GC4035 is particularly suited for applications requiring both high edge security and production flexibility. GC4015 is recommended for finishing to light roughing of steel and steel castings at high speeds. The initial introducLion includes selected inserts in the T-Max P and T-max U families, GC4015 is considered the first choice for steel applications where demands on productivity are high. Due to excellent resistance to wear and plastic deformation, GC4015 is also an optional choice for increasing tool life.
