LM Guide

LM Guide, Type NR is used for heavy duty machine tools. It has an improvement over the conventional roller guides. The ultra heavy load type NR has excellent damping characteristics and high strength when subjected to shocks and vibrations. In this guides, the radius or curvature of the raceways is very similar to the ball radius so that the contact area when subject to a load is no less than the contact area of roller type guide. This allows the guide to have a higher load carrying capacity than the roller type guide. The roller type guides have some disadvantages: they suffer a locking phenomenon due to the skewing of the rollers; given a high preload to increase rigidity, roller guide cannot move smoothly; and if not properly installed, the rollers make partial contact, reducing the actual load carrying capacity of the guide. Advantages: the new type NR can carry ultra-heavy loads, perform well under various conditions and are easy to use.
