The intelligent web-based Finger Designer tool eGRIP includes three functions i.e. CAD program, online-shop and additive manufactured in one single application.
- Designs custom gripper fingers with the optimal 3D contour and a detailed offer including price and delivery time; the gripper fingers are made of polyamide, steel or aluminum; can easily implement form-fitting finger geometries, especially those that are difficult or impossible to manufacture with machining processes.
- The outer contour created with SCHUNK eGRIP for the generated components, consisting of gripper, top jaws and workpiece, can be downloaded as an STL file and used directly for the system design.
- Weight and volume reduction of up to 50 per cent due to automatic saving of material; hollow and grid structures are used for design; cost-reduction and shorter production time due to material reduction and the use of state-of-the-art production processes.
