Engraving machines

A P Engineering Works, a pune-based company, manufactures two dimensional engraving machines. Model EMO3 are heavy duty precision engravers and profilers for production work of low operating cost. These are equipped with versatile work tables, which travel longitudinally and transversely. These are controlled by hand wheels calibrated in 0.05 mm. All sliding surfaces are hand scraped. Depth of cut is controlled by micrometer dial adjustment on the column, which is graduated in thousands of mm. These have more ratio settings than any other units with l:l for use as a duplicator up to 50:1 for minute precision engraving. The extreme deep throat permits engraving of 30" in the centre and 14" from the edge. The spindle can be fixed in a stationary position and used independently as a vertical miller. Many an odd shaped part can be reproduced more economically and with better accuracy by pantographic method. Machining is done from start to finish in one set up from a single master template eliminating time consuming set ups and conventional tools.
