Electro-Mechanical Linear Actuators

Amcats offers Electro-Mechanical Linear Actuators.
Electro-mechanical actuators provide the best ‘Packaged’ solution for all requirements of linear actuation. This actuator is a single module solution which requires only the input power supply signal. It already has an integrated motor and braking system. In short, it becomes a single step procedure for design and connection.
Some of the typical applications for which they are used are:
1. Tilt / Pivot – Tilting objects, fixed at one end, up to 180° from their starting positions. The extension and retraction of the actuator causes the object to pivot about its stationary end.
2. Lift / Lower – Lifting and lowering loads. As the translating tube of the actuator extends and retracts, the object that the actuator is attached to is raised and lowered at a constant speed.
3. Position – Periodic adjustment to the position of an object or objects. The motion of the actuator allows the operator to position an object by simply pushing a button.
4. Roll / Slide – Roll or slide an object or a mechanical assembly into position. The movement of the actuator causes the clamping, rolling or sliding of the desired object.
5. Open/Close – Mounting the actuator on a door, gate or valve allows opening and closing operations on either a timed or on-demand basis. As the actuator retracts the gate is opened at a steady rate; the extension of the actuator returns the gate to a closed position.
6. Tension – Maintaining and adjusting tension on a conveyor or webb. An actuator mounted on a frame or roller extends and retracts to control the tension in the system.
7. Lock/Unlock – For moving a locking device such as a pin in and out of a retaining slot. The motion of the actuator allows the operator to lock and unlock the device smoothly and safely by the touch of a button. Extend and retract limit switches on the actuator can be used as lock/unlock signals for a machines control system
