Dual-Column, Swivel-Base Saw For Angle Cutting

The C-650 S dual-column saw with a swivel base for angle cuts is capable of angle cutting I-beams, channels, solids, and tubing in a continuous arc from 45 degrees right to 45 degrees left. Capacities to the right are up to 24" x 25 " and up to 16" x 25 " to the left. At 90 degrees it can handle round to 26" in diameter, squares to 25", and rectangular pieces as large as 25" x 33-1/2". The machine has a 10-HP drive motor and an independent 5-HP hydraulic system motor. The speed of the drive motor is controlled by an AC inverter to provide infinitely variable band speeds from 40 to 360 fpm. For more effective cutting of structural shapes and square tubing, the 2" wide blade is canted 6 degrees. Accuracy of the cut is ?0.002" per inch of work height, according to the company. Hydraulically actuated, zero-clearance carbide inserts guide the saw blade, and a hydraulically powered guide arm automatically adjusts the guides for the width of the material being cut. A servo-controlled, blade-feed pressure system keeps the blade cutting at selected feed rates regardless of cross-section, shape, or material. Other standard features for heavy-duty work include automatic hydraulic band tensioning, a hydraulically driven band cleaning brush, and an inch/metric digital read-out of band speed. A powered chip conveyor, band twist monitor, hydraulic outboard vise, and a variety of infeed and outfeed conveyors are available as options.
