Komet Precision Tools offers Drill Thread Milling Tools. This is a patented combination tool for drilling, counter boring/chamfering and thread milling in a single operation. Tools in the CBGF version, allows the thread milling of a variety of thread diameters with the same pitch. The DBGF version is a tool that works in a purely circular manner, ideal for extremely deep threads in the diameter range of 6 to 16 mm and in aluminium even up to 3 x D. With the appropriate solid carbide or PCD version and coating, drill thread milling tool is suitable for a variety of materials. The geometry of the chip grooves allows the use of minimal lubrication. The standard version with two chip grooves is available in lengths of 1.5 x D, 2 x D and 2.5 x D. A triple-fluted version is also available for use in pre-cast holes.
