Cam type 3- and 4-jaw self centering chucks are available with micro adjustment facility to obtain trueness. The body is manufactured from alloy cast iron. The jaws are manufactured from case hardened steel and properly heat treated, all gripping faces are precision ground for accurate fitting. Each jaw is provided underneath screw to obtain trueness. The cam (scroll) is manufactured from alloy steel and ground from all the sides. It scrolls onto hardened bush fitted in the body to get long life of chuck.
- This cam type chuck is very useful for quantity production works with accuracy, once adjusted
- It is a collet substitute chuck too
- One can also choose "out center " in this self centering chuck
- All jaws or any of them can be used as internal or external position and
- Available in two sizes 6-1/2 (165 mm) and 8 (200 mm)
