Carmet Tools & Inserts are world leaders in hole making tools. Indexable inserted drills, core drills hole mills, combination step indexable drills are produced in state-of-the-art CNC manufacturing plants with Walters, Ancas, Roycees, Wendts and other special purpose and Helicheck measuring machines. The tools consist of alloy steel holder with micro fine carbide drill tip inserts, wich are removable and replaceable. These are the most cost effective in case of diameters above 20 mm, produce superior hole quality versus indexable costs. These are produced from 10 Ø to 150 Ø. There are no regrinding costs. Also offered are step drills and special sizes as per customers’ requests. World class “Carmet D-max” geometry at drill insert provides highest speeds and feeds, and lowest cost of production. Besides standard drills the company also offers combination indexable drilling systems where one can combine centre drilling and chamfering into a single operation. Carmet geometry eliminates additional finishing operation. Beside carbide inserted drills, the company provides indexable ballnose cutters and indexable core drills and hole mills with L/D=3 to L/D =50. Benefits are lower part processing cost, lower total tool inventory cost, precision component quality and improved machine cycle time for higher products rates. The company also provides regrinding and recoating services for all tools.
