Solid carbide centre drills are meant for drilling centre holes in steel, high tensile steel, cast iron, chilled cast iron, Cr-Ni steel, bronze, light metals on long production runs where precise centring is required. They are available in both coated and uncoated forms in pilot diameters ranging from 0.5 mm to 10 mm and also grade K10/K20/K40. They are also suited for machining of abrasive materials fibre-reinforced plastics and other durra-plastics that may cause severe abrasion on cutting lips and lands.
