Turret Lathe, Six Station

"Avishkar" make six station turret lathes are available in Models 25, 32 and 42. The machines cater to both bar work and manual or pneumatic chuck work. Pre-turned forged or cast blanks can be used. The basic machine with 6-position turret, rigid cross slide and vertical slide enables a variety of turning, drilling, threading operations to be done in a single set-up. The machine base is a rigid fabricated construction. The spindle is mounted in precision ball bearings. The bearings are mounted directly in the headstock, for higher accuracy and rigidity. The drive pulley is mounted outside the head for ease of speed change or belt change. A direct drive version is ideal for machining of non-ferrous threaded components. This drive provides only higher spindle speed range and much higher switching cycles are possible, compared to the counter shaft drive. Standard equipment: cross slide, vertical slide, six position turret, mechanical hand operated collet chucking equipment, direct drive. Extra equipment and accessories: coolant equipment, all tool holders for cross/vertical slides and turret, hand operated chuck with back plate, long turning attachment, bar feed attachment, counter shaft drive, machine lamp, auto feed attachment for turret, microprocessor piece counter cum tool life indicator. Specifications and features of “Profeed” programmable numerically controlled turret: programmable feed 20 to 4000 mm/min for turret and can be set independently for each station, fast retraction, semiskilled operator required for operation, friendly programming, repeatability 0.02 mm for lengths, overlapping of cross slide or vertical slide, uniformity of feed for better finish and improved tool life, threading with tap or die nut is possible in turret cycle, also slides can be made numerically controlled, and VFD for main spindle.
