Turning Centre

Stitch Overseas offers a turning centre, Model Cutex 160, from HwaCheon Machine Tool Co. This small turning centre with strong focus on new design concept provides superior handling and machine operation and performance. The design is focused to minimise space requirements and maximise cutting diameter of up to 300 mm by using a total number of 6 high class bearings at the main spindle. The rigid head stock is the base to use double-row cylindrical bearings plus angular contact bearings at the spindle front and double-row cylindrical bearings at the rear. The machine is capable to operate at the maximum speed of 6,000 rpm during even the longest operations by providing maximum torque. High speed performance with highest rigidity ensures the trouble free use of modern machining technologies. Additionally, the rapid speed of up to 36 m/min reduces cycle time and in return increases the productivity for users. The flexible design with optional C-axis indexing capability and the use of live tooling makes this compact turning centre to a multi task turning and milling machine. It can even process most complex operations by performing operations simultaneous with linear axis as well as turn mill and C-axis functions. This kind of operation is able to provide highest productivity with economical efficiency. A range of optional accessories such as tailstock body program (MT#4), the Cutex-160 is suitable and efficient for the various machining needs at a very competitive investment level. An extreme fast indexing turret with a bi-directional tool selection provides always the shortest path to the next required tool. The machine bed is made of first class Meehanite cast iron. Thermal expansion is kept low due to a separation of coolant tank and thermal radiation fins integrated to the casting of the headstock. Linear motion (LM) guide ways on X and Z-axis allow highest rapid rates in its class.
