In Rigicut lathe machine ? CW Series, the spindle is supported at three points, and the front bearing is of anti-friction type. Models with swing diameter over bed ranging from 630 to 2000 mm, maximum workpiece length ranging from 750 to 15000 mm, are available. Spindle braking is controlled by a hydraulic clutch. A single direction over-running clutch, which is located at the left apron, is provided for simultaneous engagement of the rapid traverse motion of the apron while the feed rod revolves at low speed. The lathe is suitable for semi-finishing or finish-turning jobs, such as internal and external. The sidewall of the bed is constructed of double-rib plates and internal rib plate employs combined structure of box-type and bevel ribs. Rigidity of the machines increases by a factor of 1/3 times compared with that of n-type ribs of single wall. Operations are concentrated; on the apron, there is a device, which can move rapidly and is operated by a single handle. Braking and rotating direction change of spindle is controlled by hydraulic system. Both rigidity of construction and rigidity of transmission are high, so precision is stable and heavy cut can be carried out.
