Multislide Lathes

The MSL 42 and MSL 60 CNC-multislide lathes from Gildemeister Italiana S.p.A., are designed as compact machines for efficient serial production of medium-size simple work pieces made from brass, aluminium and steel. They are consequently aimed at the market sectors, like automotive, fittings, hydraulics and pneumatics, in which countless older single-spindle automatic multislide lathes are still being used, machines that are therefore ready to be replaced by more productive solutions with a more convincing cost/performance ratio. The standard version includes six axes for simultaneous machining of four tools at the same time as well as four slides. Beyond the standard version, the company offers an advanced version of its MSL machines, with seven axes, four slides and a revolver with an integrated pick-up spindle. In addition, the advanced version is having a greater tool capacity of up to 14 tools as well as the possibility to utilise three of these tools for more complex rear contouring. In combination with CNC-controlled tool adjustment units for compound slides 2 and 3 and the revolver on slide four, this leads to maximum flexibility and a high level of performance. As well several available tooling options increase step by step this performance. The MSL is a modular designed machining system, which is having their strength in productivity and a highly cost/ratio performance.
