Medium Duty Lathe Machine

Jamnagar Machine Tools offers a medium duty lathe machine, Model MD-1. Special features: the bed is made from 25 grade cast iron of 180 BHN hardness and seasoned after rough machining to avoid stresses; head stock is V-belt driven and fitted with induction hardened and ground spindle; apron is totally enclosed oil bath system with lever type arrangement for automatic feeds; hexagonal shaped tail stock with hardened and ground tail stock spindle made from alloy steel having external and internal grinding; and test report as per Indian standard IS-1878 (part-1) 1971. Standard accessories: change gear set (inch and mm); chuck plate; tool post key; centre adaptor; face plate; dead centre (2 nos.); motor pulley; and four position tool post. Extra accessories: dog or true chuck; electric motor and V-belt with electricals; taper turning attachment; steady and follow rest; and Norton gearbox. Specifications: height of centre – 215 mm (8.5”); swing over bed – 410 mm; swing over cross slide – 280 mm; swinging gap – 610 mm; admit between centre – 520 mm; movement of cross slide – 200 mm; and movement of compound slide – 120 mm.
