Features: the light duty model is capable of handling precision turning parts with a good rate of production. It is suitable for tool room purpose for carrying out overall maintenance work. Bed of the machine is seasoned artificially. Bed has V-ways for the carriage and a removable bridge piece is provided to enable extra large diameters to be turned, the rear side precise for jobs. It also improves the machine’s aesthetic value. Power is transmitted to the main-spindle by V-belts providing 8 different speeds. The main spindle of the machine is supported on taper roller bearings, which provides proper axial and radial load distribution. Headstock spindle is made up of special British alloy steel and is properly balanced to ensure vibration free running. The spindle has been precisely ground to close tolerances. Specifications: bed length – 1370 mm; centre height – 155 mm; and admit between centre – 725 mm.
