Heavy duty all geared precision lathe, Model HGN comes with the following specifications: centre height – 235 mm, optional 305 mm; admit between centres – 1000 to 4000 mm; swing over bed – 455 mm; swing over cross slide – 255 mm; swing in gap – 760 mm; spindle bore – 52 mm; spindle speeds no/range – 8/30 to 1235 RPM or 8/35 to 1500 RPM; spindle nose – threaded dia 7.46 x 6 TPI; threads – 0.5 to 6 mm, pitch 4 to 224 TPI; feeds – long 0.017 to 0.998 mm per rev; and motor – 2.25 kW/3 HP. Special features: grade – 25 hardened and ground bed guideways; hardened and ground alloy steel gears and spindle in head stock; hardened and ground tail stock ram; all critical components like shafts, gears, pins, lead screw are made out of EN-8/EN-9 alloy steel; force lubrication system in head stock; rigid and box section type bed; and accuracy conforms to Indian standard IS: 1878 (P
