Yang Iron Works Co Ltd, Taiwan, is specialised in the manufacture of CNC lathes and vertical machining centres. Founded in 1943 to produce high-speed engine lathes, Yang produced Taiwan's first CNC lathe in 1974, Taiwan's first Vertical Machining Centre in 1980 and Taiwan's first Horizontal Machining Centre in 1982. In 1993, Yang became the first Taiwanese machine tool company to have all its products ISO 9002 certified. In 1997, Yang introduced the Eagle series CNC Lathes SML-12 (Machining diameter x length: 135 mm x 150 mm) and SML-20 (Machining diameter x length: 200 mm x 508 mm) and Vertical Machining Centres SMV-600 (Travel 600 mm (x), 410 mm (y), 510 mm (z) and SMV- 1000 (Travel 1020 mm (x), 510 mm (y), 510 mm (z)). The Eagle series is the result of Yang's continuing effort to achieve total customer satisfaction. With the objective of supplying world-class machines at low prices, Yang has applied the benefits of mass production to CNC lathes and vertical machining centres. Over 250 Yang Eagle machines are sold every month. All Eagle Series machines are CE certified. Yang also manufactures large capacity CNC lathes, vertical machining centres, horizontal machining centres and flexible manufacturing systems.
