CNC Lathe

HMT's new CNC lathe, Starturn, is a cost effective turning machine capable of turning profiles, tapers, grooves, chamfers, radii, shoulders, faces and internal operations such as bores, grooves and contours. It can also machine single or multi-start thread, and ideal for machining single and small batches of complex and precision parts economically. Starturn is operator-friendly and well suited for both training and PRODUCTion applications in medium and small scale industries. Main specifications are: Height of centres: 200 mm; Maximum turning dia over cross slide: 190 mm; Distance between centres: 700 mm; Spindle nose/bore: A2-5/42 mm; Spindle speed: 120-350-2000 RPM; Range I: 350-830 (full power) (inf variable) RPM; Range II: 830-2000 (full power) (inf variable) RPM; Main motor power: 3 kW; Saddle/cross slide stroke: 700/160 mm; and CNC system: Hinumerik 2000TT.
