Prasad NC Machine Systems offers a CNC Vertical Turning Centre, Model VTC. The machine VTC is designed with latest technical innovations and manufactured with quality material and fittings, with best process for manufacturing and assembling. It undergoes rigorous international standards as a quality check. Basic machine design consists of modular assemblies with the following design and functional features. The base is heavily ribbed cast iron duly stress relieved and machined. The gearbox and column are bolted on to the base. In the hollow of the base hydraulic cylinder for power chuck can be mounted from the front side through an opening, so that no pit under the machine is necessary. An 8-tool ATC is offered as an option. Main drive: the drive of table is digitally controlled by an AC servo motor via a specially designed gearbox. The gearbox contains hardened and ground gears to ensure good efficiency. Cross rail: the cross rail is fixed on the column. The cross slide together with a ram slide moves on the bolt on hardened and ground steel guideways with its mating area lined with 'Biplast'. Taper jib arrangement ensures the clearance and provides further adjustment for taking up wear after prolonged use. The ballscrew for X- and Z-axis is driven by a servomotor through a planetary gearbox. Ram head: slide ways lined with bi-plast, ballscrews with double nut in feed drives, backlash elimination in feed drive through backlash free planetary gearbox, rams are hardened ground and nitrided. A central, remotely controlled lubrication system is provided for all guiding surfaces.
