The Alpha Plus 460 from T S Harrison incorporates automatic cycles which offer added productivity for repetitive machining cycles by enabling the model's software to return automatically to the start position. The AlphaLink software allows the production of complicated parts on a CAM system before downloading them to the machine through the RS232 interface. A floppy disk can also store downloaded operations information for later use. These software capabilities improve completion times by first proving complicated parts on screen. The Alpha Plus 460 is available in bed lengths of 1,000 mm, 1,500 mm and 2,000 mm. Spindle speeds range from 20 to 2,000 RPM and the spindle is bored to pass 76 mm. The model is powered by an 11 kW motor.
