Vices, Mini

Madhukar Engineering Components offers mini vices for holding tiny parts with precision. These vices made of tool steel, appropriately heat-treated and ground perfectly parallel and square. They can be used for holding workpieces less than 25 mm in size. Jaw width is 30 mm, overall size of the vice is 60 x 30 x 30 mm (L x W x H). There are grooves on both axes for tiny pins. A companion to the vice is a holder and a V-block unit that facilitates mounting the vice in the collet of any machine, say, EDM, lathe, etc. The holder has a shank of dia 10 mm. When held in the V-block the vice can be revolved to set up the tapers on the work piece. On an EDM, the vice can be used to preset electrodes, held in the machine spindle collet thereby saving set up time on the machine. On surface grinder or tool grinder, tiny jobs can be preset and the mini vice itself can be held in a bigger vice or on the magnetic chuck. These are highly useful for diemakers making tools and moulds, and in electronic, jewellery and watch industries.
