Vices for CNC Machines

Makar precision vices have a latest addition to its fold-unit vices. These vices are useful on CNC machining centres, conventional milling machines and also on surface grinders. The vice is basically of modular construction of three parts, viz, base, moving jaw unit and fixed jaw. Any number of bases and jaw units can be combined to hold workpieces of different configurations and any size. Three units can be used to construct a chuck for a vertical lathe for example. All the members are made of tool- steel, appropriately hardened and heat treated. The wedging action incorporated in the moving jaw gives heavy grip, avoids lifting of job and allows quick releasing. Since jaws are mounted on serrations ground on the surface of the base, positive locking and fast setup is ensured. These vices can be supplied with swivel base or sine base premounted. Pallets mounted with a number of these vices can be supplied, in different sizes.
