TORQUE MULTIPLIERS

Tulex Industrial Tools offer Torque Multipliers. It is a heavy-duty tool used to increase the torque produced by torque wrenches. It is developed and designed to meet high torque requirements keeping in view space restrictions in torque wrench applications. It is suggested for either tightening of high tensile bolts or loosening rusty and frozen nut bolts. It is machined to high precision. The gear units are designed for multiplication of input torque. Multipliers are recommended for use where very high torque (over 100 kg.m) is required to minimise input effort. The use of torque multipliers reduces the manpower required as well as operator fatigue. It has a gear mechanism by which the torque applied on the input side is multiplied in a particular ratio. It is available in multiplication factors of 5:1 and 25:1, and cover torque requirements from 100 kg.m to 925 kg.m (750 lb.ft to 7000 lb.ft). Applications: these are recommended for use at the input end to achieve an exactly calculated output torque so the fluctuation of efficiency remains extremely small over a long period.
