Toolholding Systems with Capto Interface

SCHUNK precision Toolholding Systems are now equipped with the original Sandvik Coromant Capto interface. As a licensed partner of Sandvik Coromant, the competence leader in clamping technology and gripping systems manufactures TENDO hydraulic expansion toolholders, and other standardised toolholding systems with the original interfaces C4, C5, C6 and C8. Customer-specific solutions and C10 are also manufactured by request. Compared with equivalent sizes of other standardised interfaces, the SCHUNK Capto interface disposes of a higher bending and torsional strength. Static torsional tests show, that in terms of load change, the torsional moment is superior, too. Due to the greater wall thickness, higher clamping forces can be achieved than with comparable mountings. The most significant part of the SCHUNK Capto tool interface is the polygonal taper, which assures secure and scope-free position fixing, and a high torque transmission.
