East Coast Enterprisers offers Esquare Epm Chuck. This is a high powerful work holding system for quick clamping and machining of jobs allowing un-interrupted movement of cutters. The Esquare EPM chuck circuit combines the pulse of electromagnetic power with the safety of the permanent magnet, so power is needed only to switch On and Off, and no flow of electric power when the machining is taking place actually. The Esquare EPM chucks are like a chessboard with each square being alternate pole so the job is clamped in close circuit practically stitching the same and such heavy cutting force can be applied. The clamping face can be manipulated to clamp uneven components by placing self-adjustable spring blocks, which induces magnetic power to the job. Also simple extension blocks, by which the power can be raised above the chucks surface hence, the jobs can be machined even from all sides, ie, 5 sides can be machined in single setup. Advantages: elimination of machine down time; increase in tool life; easy work piece setting-up; free pallet transferring; uniform clamping all over the surface avoiding all vibrations; and five faces of the work piece totally free for all machining operations in a single set-up. Chucks are made from size 200 x 300 mm to 600 x 2000 mm with square poles of 70 x 70 and 47 x 47 mm. Magnetic cubes, E-cubes, are also manufactured for horizontal axis machining centres.
