Eccentric Compensating Chucks
Airtech manufactures Eccentric Compensating Chucks (CC). These are Wedge type closed centre chucks having a small float in jaws. This float (compensation) takes care of irregularities in the job geometry. The job must be held in between centres for which a spring loaded/dead centre is provided in the chuck. The chuck can also be used as a self centering chucking chuck with the use of a centering insert. This chuck has to be coupled with closed centre hydraulic/pneumatic cylinder.
