T M Mohamedally offers Drill bits in a range to suit a variety of applications. These drill bits come in 5 different material types: high speed steel (HSS), cobalt HSS, titanium nitride (TiN) coated HSS, aluminium TiN coated HSS and solid carbide. High speed steel meets general purpose requirements and is recommended for most drilling applications. Cobalt HSS is highly recommended for drilling through alloys, stainless steel, titanium, inconel, etc. Ideal for production work and repetitive drilling, TiN coated HSS improves drill life, reduces friction, is wear resistant and its unique flute form enhances chip ejection. Aluminium TiN coated HSS incorporates all the above features and is also seven times harder than HSS drills. Solid carbide with its 118? 4 facet point is self centring, provides ease of penetration and is recommended for drilling hard aluminium, brass, bronze, carbon steels, plexi glass, hard rubber, stainless steel, malleable and cast iron. These drill bits are available in 2 point types - the "Nowalk series" 118? point (for general use), the 135? split point (for drilling tougher, harder materials with a less tendency to "walk").
