Precision Grinding Wheels

Stella Keramik GmbH offers a new generation Precision Grinding Wheels. The company has been producing high-tech grinding wheels for over 70 years. By means of special combinations of high-quality abrasive grain types, improved vitrified bonds and innovative manufacturing processes a new generation of conventional grinding tools was created: Stella select. To achieve optimum cutting qualities abrasive grain compounds of sintered aluminium oxide and special corundums (for example mono-crystal corundum and ruby fused aluminium oxide) are used. The chip clearance is assisted by maximum porosity, the size and distribution of which is tailored to the grinding task. With special vitrified bonds, which are adapted to the particular grinding tasks by their elasticities, strengthens and their flow behaviour the abrasive grain is optimally integrated in the abrasive wheel. Stella grinding wheels not only have a high and constant cutting capacity but also excellent profile durability in connection with an optimum utilisation of the abrasive grain. By longer dressing intervals the grinding times are shortened and the service life is extended. The cooler grinding is a further advantage. All this leads to a favourable relation between cost and performance. These grinding wheels have proved particularly well for external cylindrical grinding, profile grinding, internal grinding and processing of gear teeth.
