Hydraulic Precision Surface Grinders

Lamba Press & Shears manufactures Hydraulic Precision Surface Grinders in bed type design, the bed carrying the table and the upright aligned exactly at right angles. The saddle is guided on hardened and ground V-ways of EN45, material resting on high precision steel balls of high carbon, high chrome with 5 micron accuracy for smooth operation. All major parts are made of graded castings with annealing treatment to eliminate the internal stress and also with ribs to give high stiffness and stability for all kinds of grinding jobs. The accuracy of the machine is as per ISI requirements. A test chart as per ISI requirements is also given along with the operation manual together with the inspection report done at our works. The wheel head exactly at a right packed of the best make which run in hardened and ground V-ways of EN45. The spindle in the wheel head is an ultra precision hardened nitralloy and runs in antifriction bearings in oil bath. The spindle is driven by an endless flat nylon belt which is driven by a constant speed motor fitted on anti-vibration mounting inside the column. Its production and testing under rigorous inspection ensures smooth trouble free running. The table traverse is both hydraulic and manual. The table travels on hardened and ground V-ways of EN45 Resting on high precision steel balls of high carbon high chrome located by a brass cage. The V-ways are lubricated automatically. The stroke is set by adjustable dogs. The drive of the table is manual/hydraulic. The manual arrangement is through a rack and pinion. The hydraulic provides an emergency stop to the table in any position. The lubrication to all sliding surface is automatically provided by a centralized lubrication arrangement which delivers oil from the hydraulic system at low pressure. The oil is filtered and recycled. The vertical feed is through a pillar supporting the wheel head. It is actuated through a mechanical gear drive incorporated inside the pillar. The drive is power driven as well as manual. For manual setting the hand wheel is graduated in divisions of 0.01 mm manually and (0.001 by micro feed) on the standard machine and 0.001 mm or 0.005 mm on machines ordered with a DRO system for vertical axis (DROs for cross feed movement can also be offered).
