Grinding Machine, Angular Plunge

HMT's new angular plunge grinding machine, Model PCG 130 APG, is a machine dedicated for angular plunge grinding applications. The special feature of angular infeeding enables OD and shoulder grinding simultaneously. This machine is having auto plunge grinding cycle, infeed slide fitted with anti-friction guideways and hand wheel resolution of 0.001 mm. Work head spindle runs on precision anti-friction bearings, which ensure circularity accuracy of less than 0.002 mm. The wheel head spindle also runs on rigid but precision taper roller bearings, which are capable of taking high radial as well as thrust leads. Auto plunge grinding cycle consists of rapid approach and adjustable air gap approach, rough grinding, finish grinding and sparkout time to optimise cycle time. Specifications: center height/distance - 130/550 mm; swing over table - 260 mm; grinding wheel sizes - standard 400 x 127 x 100 mm, optional 400 x 127 x 100 mm; wheel head motor - 5.5 kW; and work head motor - 0.37/0.75 kW.
