Fine Grinding Equipment

Premium Group has developed fine grinding equipment, which can give very fine powder output. In some cases fineness of 10 micron can also be achieved. The equipment has three chambers. These are pin mill, whizzer chamber and fan chamber. The input material is fed into the pin mill chamber. Since this equipment is used for fine grinding only, input fineness it self will be of the order of 250-300 mesh (approx 50-60 micron). The material fed is in a regulated manner to achieve proper uniform grade of product. The input material is fed into the air stream entering into the pin whizzer mill. The mill chamber consists of a pin disc rotor and pin disc stator. The input material enters radially from outer periphery and reaches the centre of the disc for moving axially into the whizzer chamber. Major pulverising and classification is done in the pin mill chamber. The particles unless they reach a specified size cannot reach the centre of the pin mill. Till then the particle is repeatedly "hit" by the pins. It is said that the micro structure of the powder particles remains unaltered. The whizzer chamber is a conventional accessory. The whizzer blades can be moved axially. The whizzer chambers can be easily opened for adjusting the whizzer blades without dismantling any other past of the equipment. The last fan chamber contains the built-in fan, which is mounted on the main shaft. This fan helps in pneumatic conveying of the product. It sucks the air through the chamber and delivers the air and the fine dust to the powder collection system, which is usually a dust collector. This equipment is extremely versatile and can be used for a wide range of product and different class of particle size. In some drying application hot air is used as a conveying medium. Changing the position of whizzer blade and altering the number of vanes in the fan can change operating parameters.
