Double Disc (Duplex) Grinding Machine

Amolik’s double disc grinding machines are available in both, horizontal and vertical spindle configurations and are used for grinding two parallel surfaces of ferrous as well as non-ferrous components to close tolerances of parallelism and accuracy. The rate of production is much higher in comparison to the conventional methods of grinding. The components are fed between the two grinding wheels with the help of feeding systems that can either be a rotary feeder or a through feeder. A reciprocating feeder can also be provided. These machines are available in different models ranging from 300 mm OD to 900 mm OD grinding wheels with motive power commensurate to the requirements of the components. The machines can be offered with the basic configuration as also with automatic feeding, variable speed drives, PLCs and CNC add-ons. To make the setting of the machine simpler, the company has provided swiveling arrangements to the feeding system and the dressing system as well, along with the standard swiveling arrangement, which is provided for the spindles. Major application areas are bearing races, rollers, bearing needles, carbon and graphite components, washers, connecting rods,eyes of leaf springs, automobile components and a host of other applications.
