Cylindrical Grinding Machine

The Studer S31 is a compact CNC universal cylindrical grinding machine for mid-size pieces to grind externally or internally in one clamping. The S31 is designed for the grinding of workpieces in individual as well as small and large series production operations. It is produced in series, is expandable and can be adapted precisely to the demands made on it. Its ideal uses are to be found in electro motor shafts, pump gears, all forms of plastic injection forms, location pins and naturally all manner of tool holding fixtures, e.g., HSK. The Granitan S103 machine bed forms the basis for assembling the high-technology components to build a cylindrical grinding machine that guarantees the highest levels of precision, performance and reliability over many years. It is possible to grind externally or internally in one clamping, this in addition to atomisation and handling systems. The S31 offers numerous possibilities to optimise the grinding process using our step less, modern motor spindles. The full enclosures with two large sliding doors makes setting up easy and convenient, and also allows the use of emulsion or oils as a cooling lubricant. As with the S33, the S31 is modular in conception, very flexible and can be adapted to the requirements of the current task of the user easily.
