PFERD-Werkzeuge, has launched new reinforced grinding wheels with ceramic oxide
grain.
- These provide ultimate aggressiveness and tool life – optimising the cost-effectiveness of stock removal. The cost-effectiveness of the process of stock removal on steel and stainless steel (INOX) is primarily determined by two factors: the specific stock removal and the service life of the tool used.
- The higher the specific stock removal (that is the amount of material removed in a certain period of time), and the longer the tool life, the more cost-effective the process.
- Utilising abrasives, which can be used aggressively, for example ceramic oxide grain, in a bond that has been optimally adapted to the grain is ideal for high specific stock removal.
- This combination ultimately promises the largest possible amounts of material removed in the shortest possible periods of time; that is the highest possible economic value.
- Because of the self-sharpening effect of the high-performance abrasive in connection with the special bond technology, the tool maintains its abrasiveness throughout its entire service life. This results in a fast work progress and thus significant savings in labour costs compared to the use of conventional reinforced grinding wheels. Moreover, the ceramic reinforced grinding wheel allows working with less effort.
