SOLID CARBIDE REAMERS FOR HIGH-PRECISION HOLE FINISHES

Forbes Gokak offers solid carbide reamers, MA Ford True Size TM. This reamers are used in applications where high-precision hole finishes or tighter diameter control is required. The reamers are available in a wide range of sizes for virtually all materials, including cast iron, aluminium, stainless steel, exotic alloys, plastics and other non-ferrous materials. The reamers are available over 380 metric sizes ranging from 35 to 16 mm diameter. Pre-finished blanks, which can be finished to clients" precise specifications are also available and shipped within 72 hours. Material removal parameters: for proper finishing with a reamer, the correct amount of material must be left in the hole. If the hole is too close to the finish size, the reamer will tend to burnish the hole, and excessive tool wear will occur. If too much material is left, chips can clog the flutes of the reamer, resulting in a poor finish, poor size control and possible tool breakage. Application date: in hardened steels, Rc 40 or greater. The reamers requires a rigid machining setup, properly maintained machine tool, and precise alignment with the hole to be finished for chatter-free application.
