Ratio end mill, with unequal spiral angles, is the simple modification of its well-proven range of milling cutters and it offers completely new performance. With this modified tool, the company is successful in eliminating the risk of chattering and in addition has gained the following advantages: better cutting action allowing an increase in feed rate of 60 per cent; vibration-free operation; improved surface finish; longer tool life; deeper cuts; reduced tool deflection; wider range of application and suitability to roughing as well as finishing operations. Although the geometry of end mills with unequal spiral angles is slightly more complex than that of ordinary end mills (the difference is not optically detectable), servicing is easy and they may readily be reground on any conventional tool grinder.
