Milling Attachment, Polygon

Tool Holders, in technical collaboration with Horst Witte Geratebau, Germany, has introduced a polygon milling attachment which can mill all types of polygons out of round blanks within seconds. It can make a triangle, square, hexagon or even a pentagon from a round blank by changing a few parameters. This attachment is fitted in the spindle of the machine to get the drive. It can be attached and removed from the parent machine within minutes. A quick change chuck or a true chuck is fitted on the attachment to clamp or declamp round jobs quickly. A special milling cutter using replaceable standard carbide tips gets the drive from the parent machine and mills flat, triangular or hex shapes from round blanks at a speed of about 500 pieces a shift.
