Hss end mills

Miranda manufactures HSS end mills both in M2 and M42 varieties suitable for a wide application in Engineering Industry. It is a type of milling cutter with both end cutting and peripheral teeth. It is not supported at its cutting end and can penetrate work material vertically like a drill and then begin cutting sideways with its peripheral teeth. Applications: slot milling, keyway milling, pocket milling, spot facing, contour surface milling and profile milling. The range includes: inches/mm sizes from 3 mm to 50.8 mm; dimensions as per ISS, DIN, BS or American standard; parallel shank with or without Weldon flat/threading; taper shank; centre cutting/non centre cutting types; 2,3,4,6 or 8 flutes depending upon dia; one piece or welded construction; square, concave, radius or ball nose ends; right/left hand of cutting; right/left hand of helix; geometry suitable for machining soft, normal or hard materials; and with/without Tin coating. These end mills up to 20 mm dia are manufactured using sophisticated CNC grinding machines to most stringent parameters for optimum performance. Bigger diameters are flute milled on fully automatic machines. The company has specialised in centre - cutting type end mills apart from non-centre cutting types. The special advantages of these end mills over non-centre cutting type is their prolonged life over resharpenings while the non-centre cutting type can be resharpened only up to the extent the centre hole exists. The centre cutting type end mills require more care while resharpening as compared with non-centre cutting type end mills.
