Forbes Gokak offers a range of Galtona milling products from Richard Lloyd Ltd, UK. The MT helical flute end mill features staggered square inserts and allows large depths of cut for slotting and slide profile milling. Most are produced with integral shank for maximum rigidity. Larger diameters and cutters for smaller depths of cut are available as shell type. The company offers to manufacture to order any mounting type with special lengths and diameters. The full effective helical flute end mill has overlapping inserts in each flute for maximum effective tooth density allowing higher feed rates than conventional helical flute end mills. He use of square inserts with 4 indexes instead of the more usual large parallelogram inserts with only 2 indexes gives much reduced running cost.
