Larsen & Toubro Limited, based in Mumbai, offers a range of cutting tools and inserts from Iscar, a member of the IMC group. These are mainly for the automotive industry. The company has a ranger of tools for groove milling for internal slitting and circular interpolation. A new holder bar, known as the Passport, is an innovative, universal tool capable of holding a variety of solid carbide bars and steel shanks for internal boring applications in small diameter holes. It has two different bore diameters, 6 and 8 mm [0.236 and 0.315""], one on each end of the tool thereby enabling the use of different carbide shank sizes. Then there is the Chamgroove boring bar which carries several types of inserts for grooving, turning and threading applications. This can penetrate a 9.7 mm bore diameter.
