Cutting/gouging torches

Metasafe Trading Corporation offers air-cooled torches for cutting, gouging, bevelling and flushing applications. It cuts metals and alloys fast and economically. Heat input is low and these torches can be used indoor as well as outdoor. The torch is safe and easy to operate. It has a provision to accommodate different electrodes for different applications. It has a swivel hose and is air-cooled. These torches can be operated with DC power source (80-100 V, 280-800 A). Carbon electrodes and compressed air (4 to 6 kg/cm?) are required for operation. The electric arc melts the metal and as the cutting process progresses, the molten metal is blown off by compressed air jet which is forced parallel to the electrode. These torches can be used for grooves, back gouges, cutting and preparation of the plate edges, repairs and maintenance. They can also cut risers and gates and remove fins pads. The torches are available in two models, ie, standard duty (200-600 A) and heavy duty (500-800 A).
