Komet Prazisionswerkzeuge Robert Breuning GmbH offers a chamfering tool for JEL Drillmax, the solid carbide twist drill with the spiral (similar to DIN 6535 HE). The highlights of this chamfering tool are: problem free, exact drill depth adjustment twist drill directly adjustable; constant optimal position of the chamfer indexable to the twist drill; no trouble with chips due to the position of the chamfer indexable; high precision and strength on simple construction; for drills with internal through-cooling; and excellent chip removal. Every hole drilled for threading requires a chamfering to facilitate entry of tap/reamer. Investing in special drills will add to high operations and maintenance costs. The tool allows use of standard drills on the holder thereby reducing tool costs and resharpening costs.
