Broach Cutters

Daksha International offers Hi-Tec Broach Cutters. A broach cutter is different than a regular drill bit as it is hollow and offers multiple cutting edges as opposes to only two. Plus, the lowered inner and outer edges mean that each tooth has a lower total work load. Because the tool is hollow, the surface that you are cutting and converting into chips is much smaller than a traditional twist drill. This means that higher feed rates and less power is required. Additionally because one needs less thrust, this type of cutter also requires less energy to operate. In short using a broach cutter instead of a traditional twist drill bit is more efficient in every aspect.

Advantages of broach cutters over standard twist drilling:

• Broach cutters have multi-cutting edges compare to 2 cutting edges in twist drills
• Due to multi-cutting edges, speed and performance of cutting is really faster and smoother as compared to twist drills
• In higher diameter for twist drill, there are several step to carry to complete a hole, however in broach cutter it can be done in one step
• Due to multi-cutting edges, energy and power needed is much lower as it doesn't try to drill through the entire piece as compared to conventional twist drills
• Broach cutters trepans the hole and leaves the centre as a solid slug which can be reused
