Band Saws, Model Ng160

The patented NG range of band saws from FEMI, Italy, offers a 40% to 60% higher cutting capability than traditional band saws. The rotation of the blade in the NG range is opposite to that of conventional band saws so the chips do not clog the cutting area and increase the cutting speed and also the life of the blade. The band saws are available from small portable machines to standalone machines with cutting capability up to dia 230 mm. The Femi NG160 is a mitering band saw designed for use as a utility band saw that can be easily bolted to a work bench. The saw miters at one-way up to 45 degrees for more versatile cutting. The cutting capacities are: 6” x 6” square @ 90°, 4” x 4” square @ 45°, 6” round @ 90° and 4” round @ 45°. The NG160 uses the NG system or new generation system that provides 40% faster cutting than other saws of this capacity. The Femi NG160 uses a 68-1/4" x 1/2" x .025 blade driven by an infinitely variable speed motor (98.5/262.5 feet per minute) with a powerful 2.7 HP motor. This saw also comes equipped with a digital speed regulator to maintain constant blade speed. Reverse blade rotation (NG System) provides added stability, higher accuracy, and speed. The blade is easily accessed for quick blade changing and has simplified blade tensioning with a clutch safety to ensure correct blade tension. Adjustable, double sliding blade guides are included to create more tension on the blade, further ensuring more accurate cuts. The company is represented in India by Pioneer Intertrade.
