Thermal Dynamics has been in operation for over five decades and is a pioneer in plasma cutting systems. Its history goes back to Dartmouth College when Professors James Browning and Merle Thorpe of the Thayer School of Engineering incorporated Thermal Dynamics in 1957. The company is a world leader, setting the standard in flexibility, value and performance for advanced plasma cutting equipment. Its manual systems, automated systems, manual torches, automated torches and full line of accessories cover the full range of plasma cutting applications. Its plasma arc cutting systems can be used to cut virtually any material, from light gauge to 4"(9.6 cm) thick, and range from highly portable units for HVAC work to the most sophisticated high speed, high definition plasma cutting systems for high precision fabrication. The new range of Thermal Dynamics Auto-Cut and Ultra-Cut automated plasma cutting systems offer both conventional and high precision cutting of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The range of systems available is capable of delivering the highest cut speeds and superior quality cuts, whilst maintaining long consumable parts life. Cut capacity of these units ranges from thin sheet metal, with marking at 10 A, up to 75 mm plate thickness. The patented WMS (Water Mist Shield) function produces unparalleled cut quality when cutting stainless steel and aluminium. These units are all equipped with water cooled torches as standard and are rated at 100% duty cycle. Auto-Cut systems come with built-in gas control modules or optional remote GCM. The conventional systems are available in 100 A, 200 A and 300 A. Ultra-Cut Systems deliver high precision cut quality with various configurations available to suit particular requirements. The high precision range is available in 100 A, 200 A and 300 A.
