Magnetic Profile Cutting Machine

Ardent Engineers offers Magnetic Profile Cutting Machine, CUB MK IIA. The CUB MK IIA Profile Cutting Machine has all the qualities essential for oxygen profile cutting on a small capital outlay. This makes it an attractive proposition for small workshops, engineering establishments or maintenance departments. The machine is of cross carriage type with a rigid tracing table spanned by the carriage, which travels the length of the table. A cross carriage having at one end cutting torch and at the other a drive unit incorporating a magnetic tracer head have been mounted on this carriage. An electric motor with an integral gear unit drives the magnetic tracer at speed controlled by a potentiometer. With both magnet and motor switches on, the magnetic tracer, when brought in contact with a steel template, attaches itself to the template and goes around its profile automatically. The cutting torch being attached to the main beam of the cross carriage, reproduce the movement of the magnetic tracer. The material to be cut is supported on cast iron 'dogs' placed 'Tee' bars with suitable work rest, supplied with the machine. A template mounting attachment is provided with each machine to take the steel template. Though the machine is primarily meant for profile cutting, the levels up to 45• can be cut in straight lines parallel to the longer edge of the table. Acetylene or LPG can be used by selecting appropriate nozzle.
