Low Speed Sectioning Machine

Hifin Products offer a complete specimen preparation system for quality control in metal working and mechanical metallurgy. With the low speed sectioning machine VS-100, sectioning of specimens with high precision is accomplished with a low speed saw that uses wafer thin diamond blades. It produces sample sections with virtually no deformation - a perfectly plane surface-thus dramatically reducing grinding and polishing times. The VS-100 features a counter balanced and load adjustable down feed arm, for precision sectioning of most materials. Accurate positioning by a micrometer in-feed, and an automatic shut-off allows unattended operation. Optimum cutting speed with relation to specimen material is by a stepless speed regulator. Various work holding devices increase the versatility of this machine, for sectioning of either mounted specimens, or irregularly shaped samples.
